Several years ago, I came across a video on Facebook of a white shepherd dog running through a dandelion field in Switzerland and I knew that I had to see where that video was made. So, in 2018 I began planning a trip for four of us to go to Switzerland. At first the prospect of doing this was overwhelming. How do you get from point A to point B? Train schedules, cable cars, funicular rides & hiking trails! Where to stay? Where to eat? The list went on and on! After deciding on the dates for a trip (June 2019), I immersed myself in all things Switzerland. In doing so, I completed the coursework to become a certified Swiss Travel Expert. I planned itineraries for every single day of the trip and became very familiar with the Swiss Travel System and timetables. In June 2019, the four of us headed to Zurich and had a wonderful time exploring the Jungfrau region and even beyond, to see the Matterhorn.
After that trip, I knew there would be others who could benefit from all I had learned and so I decided to form Cowbell Travel LLC. The mission of Cowbell Travel is to help others experience the beauty of Switzerland, up close and personal. Therefore, my group trips will be limited in size to ten travelers. Also, I offer customized itineraries for those who want to explore on their own, instead of taking part in the daily planned itineraries. Cowbell Travel trips are all inclusive. The cost of the trip includes all accommodations, all in-country travel, entrance fees, and most meals. Being a woman-owned company, I will also look at creating future itineraries for “Ladies Only.” I feel like there are quite a few women travelers who would love to experience Switzerland but may be intimidated by large group travel or venturing there totally on their own. Do you already have a group and are ready to travel? Let me know and I can arrange a trip for you.
Much has happened since watching that video back in 2018. I have taken several trips to Switzerland, and I have formed a close friendship with Sylvia Michel, the owner of Rasta the White Shepherd. She is responsible for many of the wonderful pictures and videos I frequently share on my Cowbell Travel Facebook page. She has helped me with the itineraries for the Cowbell Travel trips and has provided helpful insights for wonderful hiking ideas. If we are lucky, we might run into her and Rasta.
Nothing would make me happier than to welcome you to come along with me to visit Switzerland. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Until you can be there in person, take a moment to watch Sylvia's video in the YouTube link below. She is sure to transport you virtually to the most beautiful place on earth, in my opinion!!!
